Fivelements Sakti Dining Room

Located at the banks of Ayung river, Sakti Dining Room is a fine-dining restaurant that serves pretty affordable vegan and raw-vegan options. Their menu is designed to give optimal plant-based nutrition and high energy whilst inspiring a gastronomical journey aimed to nurture body, mind and soul. You can opt for a multi-course lunch or dinner tasting menu or order a la carte. The desserts are also heavenly. The views from here are one of the best in Bali and the bamboo-structured restaurant in itself is a delight to the eye. If you fall in love with their food, you can join their cooking class and bring the magic home with you.

Alchemy

A long-time favorite and the first 100% raw-vegan café in Bali, Alchemy offers a juice and smoothie bar, a vegan cafe and salad bar, a raw chocolaterie, a health store, a holistic clinic, and holistic retreats. Breakfasts here are legendary: Bowls based on fresh fruits into which you can add toppings of your choice.  The vegan café and salad bar menu consists of fresh organic and local produce. Everything is prepared in their kitchen and is free from refined sugar, flour, dairy, wheat & chemical additives. Alchemy kitchen creates a never-ending choice of desserts & snacks which are available on display and for purchase in their store.

The Seeds of Life

The Seeds of Life serve innovative food with attention to detail. Some of their meals taste and resemble real meat but you can be reassured in knowing everything here is 100% vegetarian or vegan-friendly. Menu favorites include raw pesto pizza, sushis and the lasagna, as well as the mouthwatering desserts. They also have a Taoist tonic bar serving soothing tonics and elixirs to heal and cleanse the body. If you wish to become a lasagna-cooking and chocolate-creating genius, join one of their cooking classes.

Living Food Lab

Living Food Lab serves great raw-vegan, organic and gluten-free salads and desserts. They also have a granola station and a juice and elixir bar. Most of their ingredients are literally garden-fresh. The main attraction of Living Food Lab may well be its location – the iconic Green School, which was deemed the Greenest School on Earth in 2012. If you come on a Saturday, you can join a tour of the world-famous school. They also have a second restaurant at Hubud co-working space.

The Elephant

The Elephant is a highly-recommended vegetarian restaurant overlooking the beautiful and magical Campuhan Ridge valley. Their menu consists of local healthy produce and is very varied. The portions are of extremely generous size. Favorites include potato rösti and pad thai. If you have a sweet tooth, try their raw vegan chocolate cake and banana caramel cake. The Elephant has a sister restaurant, Green Ginger Noodle House in Canggu. They serve vegetarian food inspired by the cuisine of South-East Asia region.

Zula Vegetarian Paradise

Zula is an organic vegetarian restaurant with vegan options. They also have an on-site health-food store and delivery service. Their seasonally changing menu is based on advanced nutritional understanding and Macrobiotic principles. The food is Organic, non-GMO, and cooked using traditional methods. They use pure Sea Salt, Spring Water, and Stainless-Steel Cookware. They do not use artificial preservatives, flavor enhancers, or MSG. Favorites on the menu are the Dragon Bowl, Sobu Salad and marinated veggie burgers. A meal is best end with something from their vegan cake fridge. There is another Zuka in Sanur and you can also find Zula’s sister restaurant, Earth Café, in Seminyak.

Divine Earth

Divine Earth serves 100% raw organic vegan and dehydrated gourmet cuisine. Menu favorites include eggplant and zucchini moussaka stack with cashew cheese melt, pasta with tempe “meatballs” and home-made almond bread with garlic pili nut butter. Don’t forget to try their cold-pressed juices, too! Divine Earth is the perfect place for a healthy after yoga lunch (there’s a yoga studio right next door) or a dinner while watching one of the movies shown there most evenings.

The Spicy Coconut

The Spicy Coconut is all about healthy delicious food that is good for your body,
​tastebuds and all living creatures. The organic produce are sourced daily from the local market and is 100% vegan. Their menu is “bursting” with fresh juices, smoothies, pancakes, salads, burgers, and breakfast bowls which are on offer all day. The restaurants relaxed philosophy is to welcome people straight from the beach, even with sand all over your feet.

Café Organic

Café Organic offers health-conscious vegetarian meals with a passion for simple dishes. They use fresh, locally-farmed produce. The menu includes also a lot of gluten-free options. Dishes to try are the smoothie and salad bowls, but it’s hard to beat their all-day breakfast options, too. Usually the place is packed, so in case you are planning on coming with a big party, better to book a table in advance. Due to the great success, they have opened a second restaurant in Canggu.

Samadi Bali

Samadi Bali is an organic cafe nestled within a yoga and wellness center in Canggu. The owners source for fair trade ingredients whenever possible and only buy what is in season. Their food is Indian-inspired, so you can find delicious pancakes and dosas with sweet and savoury fillings on the menu. If Indian food is not your thing, they also have gazpacho, homemade mushroom burgers and a great salad bar.

    A new place which I’ve become actually obsessed with is Pizza Cult in Ubud. Amazing food, great service, such a cute venue and really affordable. Also a great place to bring your laptop and work from!
